It’s A Mystery

Exhibit “A”

Exhibit “B”The Facts:

—In the past few weeks, tomatoes have begun appearing along the fence in my backyard.  (See Exhibit “A”)

—The tomatoes are almost always red and ripe, but a few have been green.

—The tomatoes are always partially eaten.  (See Exhibit “B”)

—The tomatoes are from my garden, and also from my neighbor’s garden.

—The tomatoes eventually disappear, only to be replaced by others.

The Questions:

—Who is leaving the tomatoes on the fence?

—Is this some strange and frightening phenomena, like crop circles or George W. becoming president?

—What does the tomato-leaver want from me?  (Other than more tomatoes?)

—What happens after tomato season is over?  Will other food items start appearing?  Will I wake up one morning to slices of pepperoni pizza draped over my fence?

—Should I be scared of the tomato-loving trespasser?
