Cousin It or Lady Godiva?  You Be the Judge.

I have been dyeing my hair since I was 15.  I have experimented with a variety of colors over the years, including blond, light brown, dark brown, red and even an interesting shade of purple.  I am in desperate need of a dye job at the moment.  I have an inch of brown roots and, amidst the murky shade that is my natural color, many silver strands.  Also, my reddish-brownish-auburnish L’oreal color (because I’m worth it) is fading thanks to summer sunshine and daily washing/conditioning.

Why do I mention this?  Because I refuse to dye my hair until I get a haircut.  The last real haircut I had was in April 2002.  Since then, I’ve given myself a couple of trims and let Sheri chop off a few inches last Thanksgiving.  I figure when I get tired of the brown and silver roots (for the record, I’m only 37, but I found my first gray hair when I was 21) I will make an appointment.  Until then… I’m looking pretty shaggy.

But don’t take my word for it.  See for yourself:
