Hello and Welcome to My Life

I have been surprised to discover that people stop by here to find out what’s going on in my life.  Not strangers, who only know me from here and are—for some bizarre reason—interested in reading my ramblings, but people who knew me before I became a dot com.  It’s not entirely fair because they end up knowing more about me and my day-to-day life than I know about them.

Then there are the times when I write something here after I

think

I’ve told everyone close to me, only to have someone get annoyed with me because they had to read about it.  Sorry, guys.  I try.  My life is just so darn full of excitement, I can barely keep up myself.  Heh.

Of course, when there is something intensely personal or serious going on in my life, I resort to silly nonsense posts or the ubiquitous sad, melancholy posts.  Oddly enough, silly posts get me many more comments than the melancholy posts.  Of course, the melancholy posts often yield concerned phone calls, which I try to avoid.

I have kept journals off and on since I was a kid.  More off than on, in the last decade.  For some reason, this form of journaling has held my interest.  Maybe it’s the format—I type much faster than I can write—or maybe it’s the narcissistic appeal.  Here is my life for anyone to read about, and though I don’t have legions of fans, there are still people who want to know about me.  Talk about pressure.  I think I may have just intimidated myself out of writing anything ever again.
