Randomness

A random sampling of what’s going on in my life:

They have two of my transcripts, only two more to go and my application will be complete.  I still need to check on rewriting that essay, though.

—It was nice to go to a cookout on Labor Day and not have to do any work.  I liked that.  A lot.

—I’ve submitted four short stories in six days, which may be a record.  Having a shiny new laptop has made me more productive, but I wonder if it’ll last once the honeymoon is over.  It better, I still need to pay off this baby.

—My hair appointment is in seven days and counting.  Stay tuned to find out how it goes and how much comes off.  There

will

be a picture.

—My job dissatisfaction grows by the day.  My goal was to make it to the end of the year.  My current goal is to make it to the end of the week without smacking someone.

—After a too-long hiatus, I’m doing Pilates again.  My abs aren’t thrilled, but I’m happy.  My energy level should be through the roof in another month or so, especially now that I’m back on my thyroid med like a good girl.

—The ants are taking over my house.  No amount of poisons or number of visits from the exterminator seem to matter.  I hate ants.  But not as much as I hate mosquitos.

—I’ve been awake until 3 a.m. pretty much every night this week.  I don’t mind the insomnia so much, but I’ve been having bad dreams.  Which makes for restless nights when I finally do fall asleep.

—It’s Friday.  I’m off.  Happy, happy.  Joy, joy.

—I’m working this weekend.  Have I mentioned lately how sick I am of working weekends?  Pretty sick.

—I really need to order decaf coffee when I go out.  I don’t need any help being an insomniac.

—I heart The Cheesecake Factory.  I also heart Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake.  Oh.  My.  God.  Orgasm on a plate.

Jae is working on his new webpage.  Very exciting.  Especially the section dedicated to The Highly Selective Book Club With Only Two Members TM.

—Speaking of the book club, I had to order A Girl Becomes a Comma Like That because I couldn’t find it in any of the local bookstores.  Seems like a very exclusive book for the highly selective duo.

—I’ve been feeling the need to run away lately.  If I do, I’m going to Chicago.  I miss Sheri.

—It’s 3 a.m.  Time for bed.
