December Marches On

I have a Christmas tree.  Undecorated, but still.  I have a tree and it only cost $25!  There is something to be said for procrastination.

Speaking of which, I’m still not finished with the Christmas shopping/wrapping/mailing.  It’s going to be a busy week.

Amy asked what I’m going to study when I go back to school next month.  My plan is to get my Masters in Humanities.  I went back and forth for over a year about whether to follow the familiar path and be an English major or opt for something with a little more variety.  I chose variety.  My classes will primarily be in literature, writing and women’s studies, but there is a lot of flexibility in the Humanities program.  Of course, my first class is one of the core Humanities classes and the reading list is a little daunting.  It’s been a long, long time since I’ve done any academic reading.  Should be… interesting.

I know I’ve been saying I’m ready for January, but I kind of wish the next couple of weeks would go by slowly.  I’m not quite ready for 2005.
