Who Suffers for My Art?

What it’s like to live with a writer:

If you ask me how my writing is going, I will assume:

a) you think I spent the day watching DVDs and surfing the internet

b) you think I’m a fraud and are simply indulging my “hobby”

c) you are secretly jealous of my incredible talent and are plotting to kill me as soon as I hit it big

If you do not ask me how my writing is going, I will assume

a) you think I spent the day watching DVDs and surfing the internet

b) you think I’m a fraud and refuse to indulge my “hobby” any longer

c) you are afraid I’m suicidal and don’t want to say anything to push me over the edge

If you are married to a writer, you have my sympathy.  If you are single, I suggest you marry a non-creative type.  Say, a member of Congress.

LMAO! Poor Kris. You are an awesome writer, and probably not suicidal. But members of Congress clearly are creative, how else do they come up with such bright ideas as writing laws against low hanging pants and educational reforms like the SOLs? Must be creativity, cause it’s not logic : )
