Thursday, November 1st, 2007 • 2 Comments on November!

So, the madness begins.  NaNoWriMo, NaBloPoMo, people coming and going, Thanksgiving, pre-holiday preparations, classes to teach.  Ah!  So much to do!  I love it.  wink

For those of you participating in the writing madness this month, feel free to “friend” me.  I am listed as Kristina Wright on NaBloPoMo and just Kristina on NaNoWriMo.  Let me know if you can’t find me and I’ll try to leave a trail of bread crumbs or something.  They’ve changed the NaNoWriMo page this year and I haven’t done NaBloPoMo before, so I’m still trying to navigate my way around both.  Okay, to be honest, I’ve only looked at each a couple of times before I decided to save the fun of learning the new stuff for November.  I’m getting old—learning new techie stuff makes me grumpy sometimes.

With all the holiday goodness, teaching and writing going on this month, I’m going to be busy, busy, busy.  I haven’t decided yet how I’m going to keep track of my word count for NaNoWriMo—whether I’ll just mention it occasionally or put up a counter.  Does anyone but me really care how much I’m writing every day?  I think not.  Still, it’s nice to see the progress and watch the numbers climb.  It’s good motivation.  I don’t need it now—I’m ready to go (despite a mild cold) and start writing—but come mid-November when the fun stuff is starting, I’ll need something to keep me focused on writing.

Anyone want to sponsor my writing endeavors this month?  You could pledge one chocolate bar for every 5,000 words I write.

Hey… I think I’m on to something.
