A Few of My Favorite Things

Being finished with my Christmas shopping.

Being almost finished with my gift wrapping.

Getting not one, but two!, packages in the mail.

A long, long nap (even if the only reason I napped was because I think I’m getting sick).

My silver and blue sparkly tree—because it magically works again!  I hunted for a replacement yesterday and could not find one.  Christmas miracle!

Having Jay home.  Peace.

Baking goodies to share.

The homemade sauce I’m making for my lasagna.  It’s going to rock—in both the meat and meatless versions.

Happy cats under the Christmas tree.

Careful.  You’re pretty close to that cat.

Completely off the topic, I just finished reading “Skinny Bitch.” I’m going to loan it to you. Please, please read it. I wish everyone would. Despite the misleading title, it is more about eating healthy than being skinny, and it goes into detail on the USDA, FDA, and the unholy alliance between these governmental agencies and the meat industry. The book devotes a chapter to the slaughter of animals. Perhaps if people thought more about how they got those easy, shiny, cellphane-encased packages of meat they would think twice about it. Maybe.

Jae—No worries, it was zoomed and cropped.  I was far, far away.

    Rose—Merry Christmas and… um…  WTF?

Is that a real cat under the Christmas tree?, ehehehe, anyway, there are eco friendly wraps in the market today, and if we would plan to have gift giving this Chrstmas, why dont we also say to our environment Merry Eco Christmas. ehehehe. Christmas Gift Ideas For Mom
