Friday Tidbits

Moving into the weekend and the end of Spring Break.  I didn’t get as much done as I hoped, but I never really do.  Does that mean I set my goals too high or that I’m just lazy?  Never mind, I don’t want to know.

Getting the taxes done tomorrow, finally.  This is the first year I’m not doing them myself and I have to say I hate the loss of control.  Blah.  But, it’s just gotten to be too much to do them myself, so… professional tax dude, here we come.  Hoping for a pile of cash, but will settle for not owing anything.

My baby goes into the shop on Monday.  I also hate that loss of control, but if my dear mechanic Rob (whom I’ve been accused of flirting with—and it that’s what it takes to make sure my precious Miata is taken care of, then so be it) can make my baby purr again, I’ll be happy.  In the meantime, I’ll be driving the land yacht, otherwise known as Jay’s Avalanche.  Get out of my way.  Seriously.  I will hit you.  People who are used to driving a car that would fit in the bed of a truck should not be allowed to drive a truck.  Trust me on this.

Monday is St. Patrick’s Day and next Sunday is Easter.  How did that happen?  I have the corned beef and cabbage ready to go (I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s tradition), but nothing for Easter.  I don’t even know where I’m going to brunch! smile

I received some good news from my favorite editor, Rachel Kramer Bussel.  Nothing official yet, pending publisher approval, but it’s nice to go into the weekend with some good news.

I’m spending entirely too much time reading Tweets on Twitter lately.  If you’re on there, let me know and I’ll start following you, too.  Or, follow me.

TGIF.

I brought all of my chickens that were stacking up around my house to my “lab.”  That chicken the plops the egg was a huge hit.

    “EWW!”

    But they kept playing.

    “EWW!”

I thought of you and had to share the chicken truck story.

I am banning all holiday as they keep sneaking up on me. It is not fair. Bleh. Stupid holidays…
