Rainy Day Thoughts

—I spend too much time in Starbucks, as evidenced by the fact that I had to exchange phone numbers with the manager after my recent illness. She was worried about me when I didn’t come in for nearly two weeks.

—I have not Wii‘d in a long time (seriously, there has got to be a better word for it than that) and I’m afraid it’s going to yell at me. Call me crazy, but I don’t think one should be afraid of a video game system.

—Despite my many recent sales, I’m not feeling terribly inspired to write today. Sigh.  I blame the rain.

—The delightfully charming Adam Nevill, Black Lace editor extraordinaire (and he’s also an author!), sent a link to a lovely new review of Seduction, which includes my story first Black Lace story “The Rancher’s Wife.”

—It was beautifully spring-like just a few days ago. Today it’s rainy and 40. Ick.

—My love for Bruce Springsteen borders on obsessive.  Okay, not really.  Some Bruce fans are… well… crazy.  But I cannot wait to see him and the E-Street Band in Charlottesville

—I also cannot wait for Bruce to add a second US leg of the tour so I can get tickets for another show.

—I think Springsteen’s original lyrics to Blinded by the Light (as opposed to the Manfred Mann version) can be compared to Lewis Carroll’s Jabberwocky.

Facebook is becoming addictive as I catch up with old friends—and local friends who are as busy as I am.  Are you on Facebook?
