I’m baaaack from Chicago. I had an absolutely wonderful time hanging out with Sheri. It was a peaceful, relaxing week—and absolutely what I needed. I came home Saturday night, but it’s taking me a little time to recover. Because—despite being peaceful and relaxing—traveling while pregnant is exhausting. I even noticed a difference in the one week I was gone: going to Chicago didn’t feel nearly as arduous as coming home. Plus, I think my stomach grew at least an inch in that week because the plane seat wasn’t as comfortable and the seatbelt was nearly strained to capacity. Nice to know baby is growing (because, you know, it couldn’t be all me), but I sometimes fear he’s going to end up a 10 pounder. Eek!
So, I’m home again and slowly picking up where I left off and adding a few things to the list. I have dozens and dozens of stories to read for Fairy Tale Lust. I’m talking to Cleis Press about promotion for the anthology, including book events, signings and conferences in 2010, as well as brainstorming new anthology ideas. I sold a couple of stories while I was gone. The editor of P.S. What I DIdn’t Say produced an awesome book trailer to promote the book. Etc, etc. Details and links to come for all, once I get settled. Oh, and I still have this shiny new MacBook Pro to get organized.
More soon. It’s good to be home!
