AwardNews

I was notified a couple of days ago that my story “Specter of Sin,” which appeared in Call of the Dark, was short-listed for the Gaylactic Spectrum Awards:

The Gaylactic Spectrum Awards were created in 1998 by the Gaylactic Network to honor works in science fiction, fantasy and horror which include positive explorations of gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgendered characters, themes, or issues. In 2002, the Awards were handed over to a newly formed, independent organization - the Gaylactic Spectrum Awards Foundation.

My fabulous editor for that anthology was Reese Szymanski.  She’s a delight to work with and I was thrilled she chose my story for her anthology.  This was, in fact, my second published ghost story-- the first one was for the local newspaper when I was 15.  Clearly, horror is not my genre.  Which makes this recognition all that much sweeter.  Thanks to Reese, Bella Books and the Spectrum Awards judges!
