I am both anxious and reluctant to move on to 2008.  Anxious, because there are some things I want to leave behind in 2007.  Reluctant, because there are some things I’m not looking forward to in 2008.  I guess that’s life, eh?  You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have… one of my favorite 1980’s sitcoms, actually.  I soooo wanted to go to boarding school.  Seriously.  Wasn’t that every little girl’s dream?  It certainly was mine. 

I’m sure 2008 will hold a fair amount of good stuff.  It can’t be all bad (knocking on wood, just to be safe).  There will be classes to teach and classes to take and writing projects I’m excited about and hopefully at least one major trip, maybe two.  I still have my resolutions to write, so I can build an imaginary 2008 and try to live up to it.  Maybe I can take the good and leave the bad in the 1980’s-- like my leg warmers. 

Regardless of how I feel about it, 2008 is coming… in 3 days.  Are you ready?
