I’m guest blogging over at Night Owl Romance today, talking about writing and editing erotic romance:
The draw of the paranormal creatures is in their ability to transcend reality and take us to a place we can only imagine. Vampires, werewolves and their brethren let us readers live on the knife-sharp edge of violence, sacrifice, blood and hot (dangerous) sex. Shapeshifters let us slip free of our own mortal existence for a time and experience life in a different skin; ghosts ask us to believe in that which we cannot see. And, oh!, how we want to believe! We want to believe in magic, in fate, in things beyond our normal day-to-day existence. We want to believe in heroes who have fangs and claws and the virility of a wild beast. We want to believe in the fairy tales and legends of our youth—and we want it all tied up with a romantic bow and sealed with an erotic kiss.

Ooooh, reading that sent a shiver through me! Delicious!
Very cool indeed! I’ve not tended to feel oriented toward paranormal art or writing, but that just made me want to read your anthology of such! (Hope the other readers at Night Owl Romance felt that way too.
