I had no interest in history or politics when I was a kid. From the time I was a little girl, the only history I was interested in was European history. They had queens and princesses there. American history was about men and I wasn’t a boy, so why should I care about history? I never believed a woman could be president. Hell, I was told a woman could never be president. Which meant I could never be president.
So why should I care?
Regardless of how you feel about Hillary, her politics, her husband or her hair, you know what? There are a lot of little girls who now believe they might be able to be president. President of the United States of America. That’s just amazing to me. It almost makes me want to cry. (But then the media would jump all over me and say I’m just a weak, emotional girl.)

I agree. This 2008 race is very inspirational when it comes to the diversity of the candidates (well, on one side of the aisle that is.)
Of course, I always grew up expecting to be President. But then I realized the whole “not born with a silver spoon” theory.
But then again, reading Bill Clinton’s biography changed that for me too.
This is true. Alot of perceptions have been changed. This is the same feeling for all minorities at this point in history.
