Best Actor:
Peter O’Toole in Venus
Best Actress:
Judi Dench in Notes on a Scandal
Best Supporting Actress:
Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls
Best Supporting Actor:
Alan Arkin in Little Miss Sunshine
Best Director:
Martin Scorsese for The Departed
The ones who will probably win:
Forest Whitaker in The Last King of Scotland; Helen Mirren in The Queen ; Eddie Murphy in Dreamgirls; Rinko Kikuchi in Babel and everyone is saying Martin Scorsese will finally win, so I imagine it’ll be a shock if anyone else walks away with it. As for Best Picture, I don’t want to think about any other film winning, but Little Miss Sunshine might might be too much of a feel good, quirky movie to win. If it doesn’t, I can see Babel winning. We’ll see…
