I’ve been up since 9:45 a.m.  It’s 12:15 p.m.  So far I have accomplished… um… well… nothing.  Okay, I fed the pets and checked my e-mail.  That’s about it.  Then I sat outside for about an hour, watching the pretty leaves that have turned red, orange and yellow.  Not a bad morning, really.  Except I have things to do.  More specifically, I have cleaning and writing to do.

I hate cleaning the house.  I’d rather cook than clean any day of the week.  The pretty leaves are starting to fall from the trees and turn into brown, crunchy leaves that get tracked into the house and I have a sink full of dishes from an enthusiastic day of cooking yesterday.  On the other hand, NaNoWriMo has officially started and I’m full of motivation and ideas for this month-long novel writing project.  So it’s clear which thing I’m going to do next, right?

Right.

I’m off to vacuum, then do dishes.
