The weather is perfect, beautiful autumn weather-- a weekend later than I had hoped. Last weekend was my “free” weekend with Jay home and this weekend it’s all work, all the time. Oh well. Maybe next weekend will be pleasant and I’ll manage to have some fun. This weekend is all about the writing and, with the exception of the fabulous weather I’m missing out on, I don’t really mind too much. It feels good to know I have a solid weekend to write.
I caught up on my essay grading today so I can focus my attention on finishing and revising my novella this weekend. That is the good news. The bad news is I’m only caught up on essay grading until Monday when the next set of essays starts coming in. (I have an eight-week College Composition class finishing next week, so there will be a lot of grading and grade posting to do.)
Despite my good, hard-working intentions, I imagine I will find some time to goof off a little bit this weekend, even if it’s only to sit outside and drink coffee while I think about writing. Oh, how I love this time of the year!
