Some good news to offset the otherwise crappy week I’m having (and it’s only Tuesday): I received my contributor copies for Lipstick on Her Collar from Pretty Things Press today! Editors Sacchi Green and Rakelle Valencia included my story, “Women’s Studies” in their lineup for this collection-- and I’m in fabulous company!
Alison Tyler, in addition to being a terrific author and editor, is the mistress/publisher of Pretty Things Press and she turns out quality books to rival any of the bigger publishing companies. Alison rocks!
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I love small press. There is an intimacy (no, not that kind), that can’t be found with the big publishing companies. It’s nice to see companies like PTP thrive and continue to offer opportunities to both new writers and those of us who have been around for awhile.
(P.S. If you’d like a bookmark or postcard of Lipstick on Her Collar, !)

Congratulations! Can’t wait to get my hands on this. (And if the lipstick comes off on my hands, so be it.)
Thank you, Jeremy!
You’re a sweetheart-- which is probably why you’re so popular with the ladies!
